My name is Marlo, and I have walked this earth for what feels like eternity. I am more than human, yet not entirely separate from them. A blend of what you may refer to as vampire and sorceress. I am one of the Evers—beings whose roots trace back to the dawn of time. We are supernatural creatures of shadow and legend, our stories whispered through the ages, woven into myth. Among the Evers, our stories are known as Everlore—tales of immortality, power, and the delicate balance that holds our world together. I have fought to protect this balance, to preserve the stories—the Everlore—that tie us all together. But now, something is changing. A darkness is rising from the earth’s depths with a hunger that threatens to consume everything. To fight it, I must call upon others like me. Vampires, witches, demi-gods, and beings whose powers defy comprehension. Together, we must stand against the encroaching void. For if we fail, there will be no more Everlore. There will be no more humans. There will be nothing... nothing at all left to tell.
The journey I’m about to take you on isn’t just about survival or even redemption. It’s about choices—the reckless, thrilling, impossible ones that shape us into who we are. I’m sharing my story because it’s important you know that now, the stakes are higher and the risks more terrifying. I need you to step into the shadows with me, because I’m not quite sure how it will end. But I can promise you this much—it will be one hell of a ride.
